Hi! I am one of the lucky owner of a Beogram 4000 original. I try to repair it but I get no sound out of it. it is only "Brrrrrrrr" in the speakers. everything else works. someone in here who knows what this might be? I use a Sony amplifier with Riia that I've tested with a Beogram tx 2 and it is ok.

Welcome to Beoworld.

What cartridge are you using?  Do you know that it is OK?  Start there and work back.  The cartridges are known to fail and can give you nothing, muffled sound, strange noises etc.

Are you sure that the connections out from the BG4000 and into the pre-amp and Sony amp are OK?

You say you have 'tried to repair it' - how?  What was wrong before and what have you done so far?

Dave.

Hi Dave, I found the error and it was the tone arm.
Now it's just to look for a new tone arm :(.
do you know if someone can have a tone arm that can fit? :)

Hi,
It is highly unlikely you will be able to find a replacement tonearm. You also wouldn't want to sacrifice another Beogram 4000 for yours.
The good news is that the tonearm problem you have is repairable. It is a common issue with the Beogram 4000 turntables. Look at this Beogram 400x thread where I repaired mine. My repair did require sacrificing an arm from another Beogram (a BG4004) but Beoworld member Beolover is getting close to have a replacement cartridge mount available for the BG4000...which is good because I have another Beogram 4000 myself that is in need of that repair.
