Hi there.  I've just bought a B&O 2402 Turntable and a Beomaster 2400-2.  The problem I have as a newby is a bit embarrassing.  I'm looking at the connectors under the Beomaster and thinking 'surely they didn't design it to be so awkward did they?'  The socket seems too big to fit in the recess underneath.

Is this correct, or do I have a compatibility problem.  How much force should be used to connect?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Andy

Hi Andy and welcome,

the DIN plug from the turntable should just push into the Phono input but make sure the pins are aligned - unless someone has messed about with the Beogram and changed the DIN connector?

Once aligned properly it should be a relatively simple push fit with a bit of a jiggle.

It is in an odd place but it's not often needed to change them.

Dave.

Welcome to Beoworld!

The Beogram plug (5- or 7-pin DIN with a round metal shield) and Beomaster socket needs to mate completely.
That is, from initial physical contact a further apprx 1/4 inch push in.
A little controlled force is needed but far from enough to break plastics.
If it looks or feels wrong, show us a photo or two of the problem.

Hi Dave and Martin.  Thanks for your advice.  I think the connections are fine, just a bit nervous about damaging them Smile - away from home at the moment so will try next weekend and will post pictures as suggested if it doesn't look/feel right.  Thanks again.  Andy
