Hello!

Does anyone got experience with Wireless 1? Does it work well? Easy to install?

Will it work with older products?

I got Beosystem 4500 and BeoLab 3000.

1.Can I use wireless 1 and skip the cables between the beomaster and speakers?

2. out of curiosity, could I use wireless 1 and skip the cables between Beogram turntable and Beomaster or BeoLab?

I have put the speakers on one wall and I need to put the receiver and turntable on the other side of room

Cheers!

Hi Carl,

I'm using Wireless 1 in my home, and am relatively satisfied with it. I use it to connect my Beosound 9000 with a Beolab 2000 in an adjacent room (so I use Masterlink on both ends).

The transmitter and receiver units are in total about 8 m apart and separated by some wooden furniture and a door. Most of the times it just works and I can't complain, but now and again the music just stops and I have to turn the link speaker off and on again to make it work. It could be because of the relatively crowded 2.4 GHz Wifi band around where I live.

What surprised me is that there is no perceivable lag between the main room and the link room.

to answer your other questions:

1. yes, that's the idea. Provided your Beomaster has a Masterlink socket. I don't know if it has that.

2. I'm not sure that I completely understand what you mean. You can have several transmitters and receivers in one setup, but as far as I remember, the transmitters have to be spaced a certain distance apart. So I don't think that would work out for you. And remember: you need Masterlink.

Carl probably means the Transmitter 1 and not the Wireless 1.

Thanks for the reply!

my poor English is confusing, I'll try again :)

My second question :

can I use the transmitter and receiver for wireless communication between the Beograd turntable and the beomaster?

@Carl

No!

These are for transmitting of sound wirelessly - from a sending device to the speaker/s.

I have checked, Beomaster 4500 doesn't have Masterlink socket.  Does that rule out Wireless 1? Or do I have any options?

"Connections:

Speakers 2 sets
CD DIN
TP 1 DIN
AUX DIN
OH/TP2 DIN
Power Link 2

Link compatibility:

Master Control Link"

I have found something called "BeoLink Converter", http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=983

Will that do the trick?
