I have recently acquired a Beomaster 5000 with all the components cd/phono/tape. I have the pair of beolab 6000s that were used with this system and I am at a complete loss at hooking up the paired beolab 6000s with the bombaster 5000. In the manual for the 6000s it gives instructions on how to hook up the 7 prong plug to connect the speakers then it says connect the other plug to the power link on the bombaster which I don't see. I am desperate to hear this system. Please any help would be great.

Hi,

with a BM5000 you just use the pre-amplifier outputs (the two phono jacks closest to the speaker jacks - they are the two jacks that are "alone" closest to the middle of the unit).  You connect them to the line inputs on your BL6000s making sure you set the switch to "line".

Hi

As far as I know the Beomaster 5000 does not have any powerlink sockets to connect Beolabs to I 'm afraid.

So it would have to be using the "line" as Bill said although I've never tried that.

Bill is correct and it will work.

Wanted to tell you all thank you. Yes they do work like that however the one I connected sounds a little different than I expected. I think I might have to go through that one. I paired the BM5000 with a BG5005 that I just finished going through which I really like it is a solid little turntable. Thanks again.

One other if any of you could point me in the right direction. I am searching for the battery cover for the Uber huge remote that is very commanding. Best supply for old parts?
