Hi all,

I have a Beocenter 2500. The tape belts are gone but I don't mind as I don't use tapes anyway.

The radio had some troubles, it wouldn't save stations. Also, after the BC had been unplugged, it displayed __________ unless I turned it on and off and on again, then the display would function normally.

I decided the battery might need a change, so I ordered a replacement. I removed the old one and put in a new one. All the BC does then is make the tape motor spin and have a green and red light in the display. It does not respond to the remote and the doors don't open. When I take the battery out again the BC functions as it did at first, radio acting up and ________in the display.

What am I doing wrong? How do you replace the battery in the BC2500?

Maybe you should place a new eeprom. Once I made a copy of the software from a functional unit and also changed the text on the display to show IPOD instead of TAPE. Same thing I did for a completely "dead" BC9300.
