I am new to the world of B&O but experienced in home automation and coding. I use Homeseer as my home automation platform (does many devices, zwave etc) and will run on Linux/Windows. I can clearly use custom strings and or the integration protocol to do one way and or two way communication but this would not be as good as a driver allowing the BLGW to discover and control Homeseer devices in the same way it does for Hue etc. I think drivers are written in LUA for the BLGW?
Is there any documentation available on how one would go about writing a LUA driver for the blgw or will B&O be the only people that would do this. Happy to spend the time and make it open source available for anyone who might also wish to use Homeseer. In the interim I will write something that does two way via the home integration protocol and uses custom strings to control Homeseer.
regards
simon
Hello Simon,
here's the mainsite for all integration questions and where you can download drivers etc. :http://beointegration.com/
Maybe there you can analyse the availabe drivers!? In case of programming/configuring here are some guys in the forum that can are really much more experienced with the MLGW and they surely can help you more than I can do. :-)Here's all availabe documentation of the older MLGW (predecessor of BLGW) device:http://mlgw.bang-olufsen.dk/
Hi Simon,
How did you get on with this? I'm also a homeseer user and am starting to explore b&o integration options.
I currently have the ha-bridge software running locally (a hue bridge emulator) for integrating alexa with homeseer (avoiding myhs), perhaps it could be used to expose homeseer lights to the BLGW?
Does the older MLGW support Hue?
Many thanks,
Rob.
