Connect Beolab 1 subwoofer to Denon AV-network receiver

Good evening,

I would like to connect my Beolab 1 subwoofer to a Denon AV-network receiver (to be purchased), but my B & O dealer tells me this subwoofer can only be used with other B & O equipment. Would any of you know a way around this ? I am also connecting 2 x Beolab 8000 and 2 x Beolab 4000 to the receiver. Thank you very much for any help you can provide me with.
