Nice article indeed;

altough i prefer this one from Wired, year 2011

http://www.wired.com/2011/09/ff_bando/

I mean; ths 2011 article was titled ' Can The Cult Of Bang&Olufsen Last ?' and would feature BeoLab5 speakers, Beosound 9000, and so on.....

Reading an article which is titled 'Birthplace of the World prettiest GADGETS' and inside the article products like the A9 are featured....welll....it's not my cup of tea.

IMHO B&O is losing much of the brand's prestige....i mean, my BV 7-21 MK III is NOT A GADGET .

My Ouverture is NOT A GADGET; and also my future products from B&O will be NO GADGETS..

I know that the world is changing, and a lot of Speakers,TVs,Music Systems are becoming 'commodities' or 'gadgets'.....but i repeat; is not my opinion.

But WIRED is more of a pop culture publication, catering to casual observers of technology. Yes, they have good long-form articles from time to time, but it isn't a resource for any one tech market. I'd forgive them to call out B&O's products as "gadgets" for the regular readers of WIRED who may not even know or care what B&O are. Though, for the small percentage who take the time to maybe dig deeper because they were interested in the article and it's contents, I'm sure that they'll come away with the same admiration we all have for the brand. Good article nonetheless. I can't wait to get a my copy of the book!

From Wired:
" Caption: Jan Thøgersen, surrounded by his private collection of Bang & Olufsen products—the largest private one in existence."

Not true.
Impressive I suppose, but not the largest private B&O collection.
Far from.
To me statements like this puts a shade of doubt over the rest of the article. At least that's where I stopped reading.

So where is the largest collection then?

So where is the largest collection then?

I suppose noone knows, but I know of collections considerably larger and more widespread across product categories.
