Hi there,

The BV Avant from my parents has a weird problem. The BV reports that there is "no signal" from the Apple TV that has been connected since installation. New HDMI-cable didn't work, using any of the other HDMI inputs didn't work either. Any troubleshooting tips?

(I know I should try to connect another product to the BV, but that's not an option atm due to distance and very tech-illiterate parents).

1st be sure the ATV works. Is it properly connected to the mains? Use the Apple remote to see if the ATV response. Maybe it will not come out of sleep! then unplug/plug the mains. 2nd. still not sure: hdmi connect the ATV to a computer monitor and use the Apple remote.......... does it work?

Connect the ATV at another hdmi-connector which has not been used and/or not been programmed. The TV should respond with a remark about a new connected device.

As suggested, make sure the appletv isn’t sleeping. Every time I start up I get the no signal display until I wake up the box.
