Dears,

Hope for some help here.. Been asking around at the local B&O dealers but no one seem to find a solution to the problem:

- The red dot is red

- When spinning the wheel, it starts up and I hear the clicking sound, however the screen is black.

Funny thing, when I disconnect the powercord (between Beomaster 5 and Beosound 5) and then connect again, it works. It works for a couple of hours but every morning when I try again, it is black. So same procedure again and again, disconnect powercord and connect.

Any solution from you guys out there? It needs to be said I also use the CD ripping device so powercord also go through this.

Hi,

Are you using the standard 4.5m long cable set or the extended one?

Have you tried removing the CD ripper and plugging the cables directly into the BS5 to rule out any issues with the ripper?

Kind Regards,

Martin.

If you've disconnected the CD ripper and go straight through with the same result it can only be two other things. The only two parts inside the BeoMaster 5 it could be is either the motherboard or the B&O ML board. We've swapped out motherboards with the same issue and found that the ML board is pulling it down. We've got one on the bench at the moment with a similar fault so I will find out for you the progress on this one.

Regards

Stuart

Hi Martin and thanks,

Yes, i am using the original cable and no fault on this one. Also tried to disconnect cd-ripper but unfortunately the problems remains...

So strange issue. Like the screen only wakes up by giving it fresh power again...

Thanks Stuart for good answer.

Yes, it seems to be either a motherboard or MLboard-issue...

Strange though, it works every single time i just take power cable out and connect again..

Very helpful for feedback how it goes with yours in the bench...Smile
