Attached is a small project that has been in the making for 7 to 10 years......but until now I never had the space or time.

Purchased a s/h Beocenter 9500, in 2005, boxed it, stored it, forgot about it. All good through hibernation except the top glass panel needs a bit of TLC and adhesive.

Purchased a s/h Beogram 8002 circa, 2008 via Fleabay. Never got the time to test it. Kept it boxed and stored until now and paired it up with the 9500, a pair of spare BL3,s and Playmaker (hidden).

Happily BG8002 and the MMC2 (have spare MMC5 also) seem to work fine and makes a nice sound. Pickup moves to track one and plays, < << and >> > work, though I thought a single tap advanced to through the tracks rather than position etc...

Happy :)

Veery nice! I can understand that you're happy. The 9500 is a beautiful Classic, the 8002 is the best Beogram - and those BL 3's are really good sounding speakers.

Hi i just read your post about tour 9500 and its loose glass, can i offer some advise on re-attaching in the following method.

1,remove the Glass from either the top or bottom  ( trust me BOTH blades will require re-attaching) check for any paint scratched off as it lets the light from the leds show through touch up AFTER  step 3

2. Unscrew the outer corner lh nut that locks the blade in position and remove it from the plastic.

3. Remove x4 plastic strips noting that the 2 center strips are different, the one that goes to the center metal panel has a long internal champher. Now soak these 4 pieces in WHITE SPIRIT ONLY   For about 30 mins, all the old foam glue resudue will just peel off with a sharpened WOOD block the size of a emery board. Then do like wise to the glass soak  if you add kitchen role folded neatly it retains the white spirit for same period 30mins  when all foam glue is removed wash all the bits liberally in FAIRY washing up liquid to degrease all items and dry thoroughly.

4. Purchase a tube of  EVOSTICK SERIOUS  GLUE  its clear and very dense to get out but works excellently apply the thinnest bead out of the tube along the plastic ends first (not forgetting to refit  metal nut in the outer lh corner) fit the outer U shaped end pieces first and temp hold in place with masking tape. Now apply the bead of glue to the center strips and position so there is a even  gap each end 2mm  Ish between the outer pieces and the center pieces on both ends also secure  center pieces with masking tape then remove any surplus glue with a very slightly damp cloth. Leave overnight or at least 12 hrs . don't use any METAL scrapers on the glass or you will have to apply black paint .

5 sit back have a mince pie and a fave tipple  and have a merry chistmas then  psyche yourslf up for the other blade !!!
