I have a Beogram 1000 turntable and would like to pair it with one of the old beomaster receivers (preferably with a wooden cabinet, and a radio). I already have a Beomaster 900, but the setup doesn't work due to lack of preamplifier.Any ideas on which receiver (model) I should choose?
Why not just get an external RIAA? There is no remote control to worry about and the 900 is a nice device. Clearly a Beomaster 1000 would be an option, as would the 901. But you will need speakers etc.

If you like the Beomaster 900 you can try to get an original RIAA preamp PCB for BG1000. It is very easy to build in.
Other matching receiver could be Beomaster 1000. It has 2 phono inputs, one with and one without build in RIAA. So you could use any Beogram with this receiver if you wan to change it in the future. Beomaster 3000 has also this feature (2 Phono inputs).
Vintage Bang & Olufsen
An optional RIAA module was also available for the Beomaster 900.

Other than that, you should try the Beomaster 1000 : a truly lovely receiver with a superb-sounding phono stage. It sounds really nice with the correct SP7.
