My beloved Beosound 9000 from 1999 became completely unresponsive., Currently living in Malaysia there was no B&O repairshop nearby so I called a local technician who quickly tested and announced the power supply Kaput. Eventually he found a couple of other problems and had to change what he referred to, as a spider IC! I had given him the full service manual to refer to as I found it online.
When I got it back, power can now turn on but the only thing that happens is that a LED to the far right turns on for a second and then off; then all the 6 LED's above each CD comes on for half a second and turns off. A few seconds later the whole blinking sequence starts again.
No digits ever show up on the LCD display and the system is completely unresponsive to any input.
Is there possibly some form of reset sequence that has to be entered or is it more likely that he hasn't fixed the physical problems and the whole thing is still a very Ill puppy?
