I'm thinking about getting a Sonos Connect player but I'm wondering what will happen to the LCD on my Beovision 11 when a sound-only source is used. Will it be on, as in lit up but black? Or off, with the green LED lit up? I have no way of testing this.

When you make your settings for rhat source/input, you can choose the time out of the screen seperately for that source.

Sorry, this doesnt seem to be true. There is no such option to turn off the screen.

Sorry, I should have been more precise.

You can do that - but not for all sources.

Please pick the Homemedia or the Spotify source, and you will see these settings under advanced.

I did a test right before with the audioplayer, that is connected to the digital/spdif input of my tv.

The screen stays on - so you would have to use the P.Mute command in this case to turn it off.

Shouldn't be a big problem. It probably is done this way, because they did not think of that input as an 'audio-only' input.

Might be something to suggest for a future sw update :-)

Hope this helps.

Just pick the Homemedia or Spotify... as source, and you will see these options in the advanced settings of the source.

I just did a test with an audio player, that is connected to the coax/spdif input of my tv.

The screen stays on, so you will have to use the P.Mute command to turn it off - probably no big deal.

It seems that the haven't thought of that input as a audio-only input.

Including this might be something to suggest for a future sw update.

In the menu where you configure the source, there is an option to either choose the screen to stay on, or to switch off after a few seconds. I have the latter on my music only sources.

Right, but as Millemissen said, this seems to be possible only in built-in audio focused sources like Deezer and Spotify. There is no such option on any of the HDMI inputs or the AV input, which is what I need to use to connect an external audio source using S/PDIF.

Alright, I see.

Is it Apple Music you are after in Sonos, since many of the sources Sonos provide is already in BV11?

Just curious Smile
