Beocenter 3500,Cartridge and Lid

Hello everyone,

I have a Beocenter 3500 with an sp 10 cartridge .

I would like to know which other cartridges are compatible with my Beocenter (sp 12,sp 14 ?)

Also, i have lost the lid .do you know where i can find one ?

the sp6/7 onwards would be OK.

For the lid, you'll probably have to find one via eBay or similar from a non-working BC.

What is wrong with the sp10 you have?  You can buy a replacement stylus to fit onto the cartridge:

Loosen the screw and slide the stylus and can off the cartridge and replace with a new one.

Now i understand completely the difference between stylus and cartridge and that the stylus in my b&o is ''inside'' the cartridge.

Its my fathers and now im learning how its working and how to fix it.

To tell you the truth i'm not sure what causes the problem.Propably my stylus ,i think my cartridge is fine.I have to ask a technician and then i will be 100% sure.

Yes, it's authentic. I meant sp6/7 and then any numbers thereafter such as the sp10, 12, 14 etc.

What exactly is the problem with your cartridge now? Depending on symptoms or behavior of the turntable it may be a set-up issue such as tracking or anti-skating errors and not a cart problem.

Hello again guys and sorry for taking me so long to answer .

It is that i now have the budget to take my b&o for a check up or buy a new cartridge/stylus.

Dave ,the problem is that my stylus is bent and so the sound isnt the best that i can get and my vinyls will be propably damaged after a while.

Thanks a lot Ben.I have checked some sp 12/14 on ebay and they are cheaper

I have SP10, SP12, and SP14. The best is the SP10 to my ears. I find the SP12 a bit too laid-back. The SP14 is the lesser one, being cheaper with a so-so stylus, mounted on a rondel.

I would let the SL6/7 where it belongs, on a Beogram 1000. The stiffness is too high for the later arms. 

 

Do you know where i can find one sp 10 or the others ? (except ebay)
