MLGW and input custom strings

Hallo,

I want to control the B&O equipment from my home automation system. I want to try to send a custom string to the master link gateway. Anybody tried that? I cannot see anything in the log of the mlgw.

I tried: http://<ip_mlgw>/?cmd=test

I thought it should be possible that the mlgw can see the test command. But I don't know how to setup this in the mlgw.

Any ideas?

The mlgw has a built in 'monitor'. That is where you'll look to see if the custom string has reached your gateway.

Type in the up address if your gateway and look for the monitor that way.

I already had a look at the monitor. The custom strings did not reach the gateway. I wonder how the custom strings have to look like.

I tried: http://<ip_mlgw>/?cmd=test

I triggered for "test", "cmd=test" and "?cmd=test". But no entries in the log. Any hints?

If they are not reaching the gateway, have you set the MLGW protocol to be over Ethernet and set the port that you'll use (it looks like you haven't as you haven't got any unique port setting on your command)

now, years later ;-) did you find a solution? i have now the same problem. right port, right ip and the blgw captured nothing.
