Hello young handsome devils.

Can you please tell me if DVD2 (with in-bult tuner) will pick up HD channels.

Thanks.

Much appreciated.

Well hello Chaka - I believe no no no it will not pick up HD channels - far too early sadly - was it 2006/7 for this model? A very complicated machine and a damn Philips!

As far as I know, the very last model of the DVD2 with HDMI was capable of handling HD content both for recording and playback. Have a look in the user guide here: http://www.bang-olufsen.com/da/customer-service/product-support/picture/dvd-2

BeoVision Eclipse 55, BeoPlay S8 (sub+rears), BeoPlay A9 MKII (living room), BeoVision Avant 32 DVD (retro gaming, basement), BeoLab 4000 (entertainment room, basement), BeoSound 8 (workshop), 2x BeoPlay S3 (PC), BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay H2/H3 (on the go)

No HD with the internal tuner, since this is an old analog type.

The HDR2 could be setup for recording from an external device (even PUC-controlled) - but not the DVD2.

I am not sure, the HDMI connection of the DVD2 would be much better than the Scart connection anyway.

The DVD2 is an outdated beast/piece of gear, imo!

Was usefulll, but terribly complicated for previous needs, but not for today.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

The HDMI connection somewhat improves the picture quality and stability compared to scart, but it's far from being HD.
