I have a Beosound 9000 MkII and if I remove the power it defaults to option 0 ans the remote control does not function, when I select option 1 the remote works fine until the next time I remove the power. Is it possible to change the default to option 1
Stuart
Are you using a Beolink1000 or BO4 remote control?
I have tried both
You must "store" option 1 once selected!
Using the Beolink 1000 as it is easier, I use Sound 1 Store , this works fine until I remove the power
I assume, that you have no Beolabs connected to your BS9000. If this is the case, BS9000s behaviour is quite normal, and you are not doing anything wrong.
You can read in several threads here on Beoworld, that a BS9000 defaults to A.OPT 0 when no speakers are connected (Powerlink).
It already does when you activate it from stdby mode.
Solution: Connected Beolab speakers to BS9000 Powerlink sockets - or, connect a dummy plug to Powerlink socket.
A 5pin or 7 pin DIN plug should work. You only need a solder bridge between pin 4 and pin 2.
Hope this helps.

Thanks very much, I have a 7 pin plug and shall get it linked and give it a try
