Hi All,
I'm hoping for some help with my trusty BS3000, which has given many years of good service. Although I now primarily play music via N.MUSIC my wife still likes putting CDs in. Recently the CD clamper (of the large variety) has stopped working, but I can hear a motor whirring inside when I press Load. Even when I manually open and close the clamper the CD will not play and the motor whirrs for a considerable time before stopping. I would appreciate your help with a few questions and any relevant experience, many thanks.
My questions to fellow forum members are:
1) Has anyone else had this problem and is it most likely just a rubber drive belt?
2) If the answer to 1) is yes, can you obtain these belts in the UK easily and
3) As I am good at repairing antique clocks and watches is the replacement of the belt relatively straightforward?
Many thanks and best regards,
Rob
