Hi guys,

It saddens me to have to post this but please be aware of a dodgy B&O engineer by the name of Graham Rawlinson operating out of Liverpool and services the North West area from what I gather.

A while back I posted on this forum asking for an engineer who could do me a set up in my new house. Graham Rawlinson also know as 'bnoblueboy' on this forum got in contact and said he was an engineer and could come over and quote me for the work.

Sure enough Graham came over and agreed a price etc. and in November 2015 he came over to complete the work. The job was to link 4 rooms together and re-program my Beo5 remote so I could use it with a BT Box.

Graham was at the house for 2 days and was, what I thought then, a really decent bloke and thoroughly knowledgeable about B&O's in general. He completed the work as planned and I was really happy with the work he had carried out.

After the first day of work he said that he needed to take my BEO5 remote home with him to program as he hadn't brought his laptop with him. When he arrived the next day to complete the work he advised that the program he had on his computer needed updating and that he wasn't able to complete the re-programming of the BEO5 but he was in the process of getting a new program and would drop the remote off with me later on in the week. As I said earlier he was a decent guy so trusted him completely. More fool me.

That was back in November and I still haven't receive my BEO5 back.

Initially he stayed in contact and when I was chasing him he would say that he was working away etc. and would get it back to me as soon as he was back. That never happened. Then he was going to post it back to me, again that never happened.

He is now no longer returning my calls or texts/emails.

I have now had to report the matter to the police as a theft and will have to pursue him through the small claims court.

Please therefore be aware if you are planning to have any work carried out.

What a shame, sorry you've had that experience.

thanks for sharing though, always good to warn others of these things.

Agree, it is a weird thing to steal having done a good job - hardly worth tarnishing your good reputation over.
