Hello,

Now that I've unpacked my Beoplay A9, I have some questions regarding NL multiroom :

The system is very simple for the moment (I'm going to put everything in a new house this summer, but now I (beo)play with some parts of the system in my crowded flat...) :

Beovision 8 > ML cable > NL/ML Converter > Ethernet > Beoplay A9

I would like to be able to play Beoplay A9 audio sources on the TV, and to put beovision sound on the Beoplay A9... But currently, I cannot select Beoplay A9 sources on the NL/ML converter (BLC).

BLC is setup as A Master

On "sources visible on ML", I have just the Beovision selectable as "connect to" primary and secondary (the A9 doesn't appear), and on IR Mapping, the only source of the BLC is Line In.

The Beoplay A9 is seen by the BLC, as it appears in one section : Telegram forwarding

What did I miss there???

Thank you for your help!!

Hi,

Two quick questions:

a) This is a BeoPlay A9 2nd gen. correct? (There are two buttons on top of the A9. One of them is a Bluetooth button, right? Only the 2nd gen. has Bluetooth).

b) Have you connected the BeoLink Converter and the A9 directly with a singæe Ethernet cable? Or is there a router in between? If not, I recommend you try with a router in between.

Hi Petrosbell,

Yes, MKII, it has the BT button, the 90 year rose gold look, it appears on the BLC on a tab... No doubt, this is a mkII !

The BLC is connected to the network via ethernet, I've tried the A9 wired and wireless, between them, there is a switch, and as everyone can be reached by a browser on the network (A9 is seen on BeoMusic, Beosetup and Beotool).

If I turn my iPhone running Beomusic in landscape, I can see the A9 and BLC, but BLC is always grey and not selectable

On Beosetup, now that the A9 is there, the BLC doesn't appear n the product list.

When I go to Beosetup, under the A9 menu, if I go to setup/Beolink, join is activated, but as with the BLC menu, under "link to other products", there is only "none" in the "connect to main Beolink product", the BLC doesn't appear.

Similarly, the A9 appears on the BLC, but only on the "home automation" tab. When I go to NL Management/NL products, there is only the BLC...

This sound a very stange behavior... If you go to the BeoSetup, then select the A9 and then "SETTINGS" - "BEOLINK" - "DISCOVERED DEVICES" Can you see there the BLC with the correct IP address?

Thanks Petrosbeli : I found a quick fix : do a (long*) reboot of the BLC !

Now each device appears on each other... I'm trying to hear the sound of one device in another, but that's not done yet (as my wife is asleep not far I'm quite limited in audio testings...)

*long reboot : I'm writing that because I already tried a reboot of the BLC by unplugging the power cord for 1s... It seems that it wasn't enough to reboot it. The BLC web interfaces lacks a reboot button !

Thank you for your help, I'm sure there will be more questions regarding Blink Mutliroom soon :-/
