As the owner of a Beogram 5000 turntable I have always thought about upgrading to a 5500 tangential turntable but was unsure as to whether it plays better than the simple radial arm. Any help would be appreciated before I spend the money.

It is acknowledged by specialists that the 5000 is a superior turntable to the 5500. So keep the 5000 and be happy.

I think that seems to be the general consensus. I'm happy with the one I've got to be honest.
