Hello,

I'm new to this.

i have a Beogram 7000 and a Beosound 3200 which unfortunately for a while I need to have at separate ends of a room. Can I connect them using the Beolink Wireless 1 system? Using the transmitter for the Beogram and the receiver for the Beosound?

Can I connect them using only the din plugs or would I need something else?

Also, if not, does anyone know another piece of equipment that could link the 2 wirelessly so I can continue to use whilst they are 'separated'

many thanks

Lee

No Lee. The protocol over the wireless is master link; not data link which is what I believe is used between a Beo-peripheral and its Beo-master

Others may have bright ideas to get you what you are asking.

I suggest you change the title of the topic as there are very few BeoLink wireless users.

Perhaps something like "how to drive a beogram at long distance?"

BTW I have just had a thought ... For others to shoot down:

Can a BeoLink Active in PC mode support the Beogram and talk over the BeoLink Wireless to the Beomaster ?

1: Anything connected to the PC-input (of the Active) can only be accessed locally.

2: I see no reason why not - but the Active would still only draw from the sources of the BeoMaster.

You might get the sound when connected to the PC input of the Active, but you would most likely lose the datalink control of the Beogram. I tried connecting a Beogram to the AUX input of an AV7000, but the datalink control was lost. You need the turntable connected to a BeoMaster in order to get the datalink control.

Thanks for your help.

I've renamed and will wait and see if anyone has any bright ideas

I only really want to send the sound to the Beosound, control of the Beogram is not an issue.

Since datalink is not a concern, perhaps search for a wireless RCA transmitter and receiver. I just found one on Amazon for $71 USD.

I'm also finding them for half that price.
