I recently acquired a Beocenter and Beogram 9500 from my late father but am sadly unable to enjoy them combined. During his house clearance, the 7 pin din plug on the Beogram turntable which connects it to the Beocenter was accidentally cut off and lost.
I have a replacement din plug but I need to know which pins to connect the relevant wires to, and so far my search of the web has proved fruitless.
Wire colours are:
Black
White
Yellow
Blue
White/Shielded
Red/Sheilded
If anyone can tell me which pins these should connect to I will be extremely grateful. This system was my fathers pride and joy for many years and I would love to be able to enjoy it again.
Many Thanks in advance
John
Hi John,
I have also this combination so I can tell you the sequence of colors seen onto the solder side of the DIN plug, from left to right clockwise (the gap at the bottom):
yellow, nc, nc, shield from the red and white together, red, white, nc. As you might have seen, the pins are numbered, so the colors go to as follows: yellow to pin 6, shield to 2, red to 5, white to 3 and the black is soldered to the housing of the plug. The bundle of the shield wires should be reduced to half or less, because it is difficult to solder it. The blue one is not needed.
Good luck!
Many thanks for your response
