HI

I have a beolab 4000 that never goes to standby when using the line-in. When powered up the speaker directly goes to green light and you can hear a hiss from the speaker if you are close.

The other Beolab 4000 I have does not have that problem, it goes to standby when music is off. They are both connected to the same source.

Any clues?

Hi,

did you change the speaker, the left one to the right and the other way round? If the fault is on the same side, there would be something wrong with your amp or wiring. If the fault goes with the speaker, so it must be: the speaker.

That's what I would suggest too.
