Guys, first post, so apologies if i breach protocol, but here goes.....
Have 2 questions
1. I want to add a BV screen to my bedroom, and thinking of a BV11 46 (40 and 55 dont work in its intended space).......always been a plasma guys, and the BV12-65NG i bought for my lounge last year is my ideal picture.......my quick look (going back tomorrow) at the BV11 was that PQ was pretty good, just need to spend some time seeing how well it handles sports.......are there any issues with ghosting / judder / artefacting? (not too bothered by UHD, will revisit in 5 years)
2. Plan to join the BV11 46 to my lounge set-up via an Altona HDMI 4*4 switcher.......seems expensive, but user experience, once installed, seems clean and seamless......appreciate any thoughts / advice from anyone who has thought about / done something similar.......
(why the switcher? seems a clean way of enjoying the one set of sources (Sky HD, Apple TV, Fire TV, Blu-Ray, Vinyl) in both lounge and bedroom, either independently or at the same time........the London showroom i visited had a bunch of screens connected to a matrix, so looking at basically the same thing, albeit for just 2 screens......)
Anyway, thoughts on either question much appreciated.....
SB
Lounge set up : BV12-65NG + Beosysem 4 + Beolab 18s front, Beolab 19 sub, BeoLab 3s rears.

thanks for response.......pulse eight better in what way?
haven't checked price on the pulse eight that i might need, so that may be a swing factor.......
guessing you have >1 screen connected to a matrix? if, so, hows the experience?
@Sandyb
Unfortunately the Format 0 is not available on your Beosystem 4, so my advice,-
Get a Beosystem 3 (Type 77xx 2*HDMI out) for you BV12, it will distribute video natively including the full 7.1 audio.
Your 2nd TV will simply be a mirror of the first complete with overlay menus! Works like a charm!
forgive the ignorance, not sure what you mean by Format 0?
also didnt realise the Beosystem 3 had 2 HDMI outs, compared to the 1 on the Beosystem 4.....so you saying i dont need a matrix then, just a swap of the 4 for the 3?
want to retain full access to my living room sources (currently attached to the BS4) when using the second screen in bedroom......apologies for question, but advice much appreciated!!
2 things to note.
1- Pulse Eight only has a 3 year warranty while Atlona has a 10 year warranty.
2 - Atlona is an officially supported by B&O product. Meaning if you get stuck or have issues, tech support can help. With anything else you are on your own.
With all that said Pulse Eight is fine for the in-the-know DYI B&O enthusiast.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2, BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century, BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i, BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40, BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)

Format 0 is the cinema remote command, it switches between the two outputs, - actually it closes the electronic curtains and fades the sound, and after a programmable delay the exact opposite takes place on the secondary HDMI output. Should your setup allow you to have both TVs in view, you can really appreciate the magic!
And yes, all that magic is entirely removed from the Beosystem 4, so yes swap the 4 for the 3 and you are good to go
And there is more, the entire dual HDMI Beosystem 3 is embedded in BV7 55 mkII, that is including BOTH HDMI outputs. And since the BV7 55mkII has a build in BR with DTS HD MA sound decoding, your second TV will have it too!
This functionality is properly not intentional, but its there, and it rocks! And it does leave the Beosystem 4 somewhat in the dust.
Below is a picture showing the BV7-55 mkII BR.... on a BV7-40 mkIII Complete with 7.1 audio!
And so is everything else you have hooked up to your primary source! The power of Format 0!... And BS3
StUrrock:Re point 1 pulse eight matrix have a very reasonable extended warranty. point 2 officially supported means nothing in my book It is only a set of IR codes that make them compatible after all. We had loads of problems with B&O + Atlona. To be fair Atlona did swap out parts (after a lot of pointless fault finding, we new it was the matrix at fault ) but this was a long and drawn out process. We pulse 8 we have had very few minor issues, ALL have been sorted within 24 hours!!!! Their support is brilliant. additional point 1 a LOT of dealers are now switching to pulse 8. additional point 2 it seems that the pulse 8 matrix seems to be more tolerant of poorer quality cat cables.
Michael:What do you mean by the ir codes? I thought the Beovision would talk with the matrix switch or send just commands for those models.
StUrrock:the atlona is only worked by a puc B&O have only chosen to write a puc for the Atlona codes thereby apparently restricting customer choice!!! Pulse 8 just listen for the Atlona IR codes and respond accordingly.
