Hi Seanie,
I don't have a sky q box, so just guessing, but does "MENU -> 1" (equivalent to 'home' button on original remote) take you to the TV guide? if so then perhaps have a chat with the service tech in advance of him coming to update you BV7 as he may be able to swap these two mappings around in the puc tool in order to create a custom puc for both televisions if you'd prefer GUIDE = home, and Menu -> 1 = planner.
Kind Regards,
Martin.
Hello there
Been having a play and it appears you cannot go to TV guide diectly only via the home button.
I have a look online and with the remote and it does not appear to be a way to go directly to the TV Guide like the old remote.
The below shows you the normal buttons for the Bluetooth remote which works the same way but does not use IR or touchpad
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/buttons-on-your-sky-q-remotes-explained
this confirms I think you can only go home or to recordings directly.
The client whos home I was working in today has just had sky q installed so I took the opportunity to look at this.
It does seem that (with the original remote) there is no way to directly access the TV guide, and instead you have to press home, and then scroll up through the list - seems a little odd but at least this confirms it's not just a feature that is missing from the PUC.
Kind regards,
It's available within the PUC Tool so can be saved from there in the current (.decx) format for newer televisions, and/or converted to the old PUC 2.0 (.dec) format for flashing to your BV7 for example.
Ask them to search for "Sky Q" within PUCtool3 (the filename is Sky_Q_V03,01a.decx)
Hope this helps,
I've sent you an email.
Thanks Seanie,
Glad I could help
Best Regards,
