I mounted 2 new belts and oiled the spindle and now it is extreemly slow, even on 45 rmp setting an LP is still too slow.
What went wrong?
Can't the motor take the new belt?
Where did you get the belts ?
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Not all replacement belts are equal. There are a lot of belts out there advertised as replacements for the various turntables and while they may appear to be the right size, they fit too tight, too loose or are not the right shape. Martin (Dillen on this forum) has recently got correct belts for the Beogram 400x turntables. Contact him to get replacement belts for your turntable.

Welcome to the forum, many of the belts bought online are either too big or too small, get the right ones from Martin (Dillen on this forum)
If the belt is too lose it slips on the motor drive and if too tight the motor cant get up to speed because of too much load on the bearings,
Evenly or variously slow?
blah-blah and photographs as needed
evenly slow
the motor cant cope with much resistance at all, so need a cleaning at least
Do you still have the old belt? If you do and put it back on will it run at the right speed?
