All,
I have a Beovision 7-40 connected to a Beomaster 7000 with TV set to option 2 (Video and Audio master), and the Beomaster to option 0 and everything has been working well. However now if I am listening to an audio source and then select a video source, the Beomaster no longer powers off but remains on. Also if listening to a Beomaster source and press off the Beomaster source remains on whilst the TV turns off.
Anyone know what I need to set to get this behaviour back.
Regards,
Paul
Hi Paul,
This sounds like it could just be one of the devices "forgetting" its option setting (possibly due to a low backup battery) or maybe the data wires in the cable aren't giving a good connection. I'm guessing that you have a Beolink Converter connected between the TV and the Beomaster (to convert Masterlink from the TV to Master Control Link for the Beomaster) - have you checked if this is functioning OK?
If any of the cabling appears to be damaged or unreliable, then I have tested new replacement cables available.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

Welcome to the forum.
Do you have one (the Aux-) or two cables (also the PL-) connected between the A-Master and the converter?

There is a tv - and there is a BV
patcherley: .. the Beomaster no longer powers off ...
.. the Beomaster no longer powers off ...
Did you try to hold the OFF key on the remote for a while (long press)?

Thanks for your and the others quick response.
I have TV/aux and the powerlink connected.
I have checked that all the cables seem connected OK. Don't know how to check if the cables themselves are OK.
Right - was the converter the last piece of these, that was powered on?
Having tried to re-seat all the cables an d turn the converter on and off with no success, I switched to the radio via the front panel and from now on everything is back to normal.
No idea why.
...seems like the BM7000 lost the Powerlink connection to the converter (?), and by starting the audio system manually, you "reconnected" it...
But - no idea why....
PL connection tells the system whether the BM7000 is on or off.

Having fixed the problem I thought the beomaster needed a good dusting and managed to drop the line in/out cover into an inaccessible place, any ideas how to get a replacement?
