I have recently acquired a Beocenter 7002. Everything is working, except the turning table. I opened up this device and compared it to a working Beocenter 7000. I have noticed that there is no wiring to the pick-up arm connection (see picture 1)

On the Beogram 7000 I can see that there are 5 cupper wires that come together and seem to be squeezed into the pick-up arm connection (see picture 2). Is that really what I have to do, or is there more to it than meets the eye?

What kind of wire should I be using?

Thank you for your help,

A B&O repair newbie...

In any case, you will have to disassemble the tone arm bearing. I don't know, if the contacts for the pick-up are detachable for soldering ( the next generation of tone arms are filled with glue and can not be worked on). The wires are perhaps of enamelled copper wire. If not, you will ned a complete new tone arm
