I have a pair of beolab 8000 that are connected to a beolab 2 witch used to be plugged in a Mac mini witch worked perfectly. Yesterday i got a new TV (LG 65uh850v) and when I plug the mini jack in there the beolabs his. I have tired plugging the devices in other power sockets (grounded and not grounded) but this makes no difference. I thought it might be an idea to use an external DAC because the problem seems to originate at the TV. But is it possible to use the optical out for this does the TV process the audio signal the it receives from for instance Netflix in such a way the DAC can process it in a analog signal? If anybody has an alternative solution please share.
