If someone can share what parts or cables are required to integrate into the Beosystem 3.

I would like to use one B&O remote to turn on, off and control most / all the devices except the HTPC

I haven't had any exposure to setting up a Beosystem 3 previously, any tips and hints will be much appreciated.

Devices that will connect to the Beosystem 3

  • Pioneer KRP-600M
  • Apple TV
  • Panasonic DVR DMR-XW350
  • Sony Blu-ray BDP-S4500
  • HTPC

I recommand getting Lintronic with a IR eye to control all devices, check my signature for details.

Hi Sn00py,

Beosystem 3 has the capability to control a wide range of third party devices directly via the built in software.  The IR codes for certain devices may already be loaded into your Beosystem, otherwise your local B&O dealer should be able to add further devices to the PUC table for a small fee.

Cabling requirements are fairly straightforward:-

1) IR blaster cables are used to give the Beosystem control of each device: http://soundsheavenly.com/televisions/59--ir-blaster-.html

2) Powerlink cables are used to plug in Beolab speakers: http://soundsheavenly.com/powerlink-8-pin-din-connection/20-powerlink-mk-3-compatible-8-pin-din-cable-with-4-cores-wired-low-profile-cable.html

3) HDMI cables are used to link your video sources and TV: http://soundsheavenly.com/input/55--hdmi-.html

4) A DVI adapter converts the Beosystem video output for use with an HDMI lead: http://soundsheavenly.com/misc/58--hdmi-dvi-block-.html

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

Hi Sn00py

The BS3 comes in many different variants, could you share the Type number?

Numbers 77xx and you are in luck,- 96xx a bit more challenging...
