Hello,

I'm thinking of placing some Beolab 4000 or a Beolab 2000 inside a book shelf. Could this lead to heat problems of the speakers or is it possible without problems? Do you have experience with it?

I have not experienced any heat at all with the 3 pairs I have had. It dispenses heat pretty good from the massive radiator on the back. Never felt it get warm.

But then again, we might have different opinions of what a bookshelf is Big Smile

I would build it in between books. Some air is needed I guess.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

Hi TWG,

I would go for the mk.2 (2008 on) Beolab 4000s with the digital ICE Power amps - these run much cooler than the mk.1 4000s or 2500s, which have class AB analogue power amps inside.

I would also agree with Leo that some air around the speakers is always a good idea for cooling!

If you need any help with cables to get everything connected, please feel free to ask Cool

Kind regards, Steve

Steve.
