B&O manufactured the beolink video type 1615 so that an MCL video product can work in a Master link system. They also made the beolink converter type 1611 so that an MCL audio product can work in a Master link system.
I need to do it the other way round i.e. connect an ML video product to an MCL link room (MCL2AV). I find the 1611 converter is not fully functional in this respect as the setup is non-standard. Can anyone provide me with an interface to make it work?
Problems are: delay in responses to commands/ Beo4 'exit' command does not work/ No stereo sound from video sources

ML/MCL converter (or an BL Passive as ML/MCL converter)
How does this differ from the 1611?
Beoworld description says " This kit was required should one wish to maintain an existing MCL link system but wanted to upgrade to an ML based audio system.
My Avant is an ML based video system?

This converter has an build-in amplifier to feed the MCL system
I have a ML to MCL system and use the ML/MCL converter and it has worked for years! Has a couple of branches!

But this is a link room, on the end of the MCL branch fed by a Beocenter 9500/BV8-40 with the Avant is in option 6 (link TV). It is this that is not fully functional as I described using the 1611 beolink converter. The ML/MCL converter does not have a datalink connection so how can it be connected between the Avant and MCL2AV?
This quandary is now solved by crossing pins 1/3 and 4/5 in the datalink cable between the MCL2AV and Beolink converter 1611 - as suggested by Stefan in another thread. Many thanks to Stefan and Beoworld!
