A word on MMC20 series restorations.

Hi Guys,

I've been doing some research and asking questions around MMC20 series cartridge restorations and thought I would share my findings with you all...

It seems that it is currently impossible to replace the suspension on these cartridges and any restoration work consists of replacing the cantilever and stylus only. I have had read words from Soundsmith to that effect on here and had it confirmed by Axel at schallplattennadeln. A seller on eBay (beovintagedk) has just advised me that the problem is being worked on with a solution hopefully coming next year.

I hope someone in the know will be along with their thoughts and opinions on the matter because it seems to me the suspension is the part that needs replacing most of all being 30yrs old.
