Hi guys,
I am trying to understand the differences between Essence/Transmitter/Playmaker all day, but I am more and more consused.Guy offered me (for a very good price):
1)Playmaker (mk1)
and
2)Essence - only the wheel, without a white box (also mk1 I assume).
I would like to connect these to my current Bolab 8000, so I open my macbook air (iphone), start iTunes, play music via airplay to playmaker and then go to kitchen and use Essence there to change volume/pause music/skip tracks. Is it possible?Thank you. P.s.: what is a fair price for Beolab 12-3?
Does Essence remote work with Playmaker?'
The answer is quite simple: No!
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
Also, there are listing on ebay, where these 2 things are sold together as they are supposed to be used together..: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bang-Olufsen-B-O-BeoSound-Essence-Remote-B-O-Playmaker-I-Ships-Wordwide-/161756724307
That is why I am confused..
Thanks, that is interesting, but I did not find playmaker mentioned there..
leosgonewild:I think you are wrong MM. a Beo4 works with playmaker, so a Essence remote in Beo4 mode should also work. I'm not 100% sure tho

That depends on which source the ir command of the 'wheely' can trigger.
'To select an AirPlay or DLNA source, press A.MEM on Beo4.'
I guess it also depends on the version of the 'wheely' - the first ones did not have the additional ir modes, that the later ones have.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating ;-)
