I recently purchased a Beosystem 2 and am currently awaiting for it to be dispatched. Unfortunately I do not believe the sale included the original 'hockey puck' style IR receiver. Reading up on it I've discovered that the eyes from the Beolink kits can be used with some custom cables, but I keep seeing references to receiver components such as TSOP5700 and TSOP7000. I'm not really concerned for the aesthetics of the receiver and I'm sure one of these would be perfect but anything I find on the web for them seems years old and/or features discontinued notices. Is anyone aware of a UK stockist for 455khz IR receivers? Or have any suggestions to an alternative before I pay twice the amount I paid for the Beosystem on the hockey puck.
