This is how a BL90 master speaker looks like if you slice it up ;-)

There's a whole heap of training tutorials on youtube (no link just yet). Basically showing how to replace drivers, boards etc.... Enquired as to the cost of the extended 3yr warranty (yrs 4/5/6). Those cards dont look cheap. Warranty wad circa 9% of sale price.

Fundamental question of the day : will the Beolab 90 sell with a "Made in China" badge ?

Hard to know, but it sells well with a 'Made in the Czech Republic' badge.

Currently away on business so I don't have access to the nameplate to see what it says. Even then, its a PITA to get to as they don't move easily. The body casting I thought IIRC was made by MAN or Azom (Danish diesel engine builders) as they have the knowledge for large aluminium precision sand casting techniques. Drivers are Scanspeak, so Danish. Internals are likely to be SE Asian. All facts with a pinch of salt.

They assembly is now (since this summer, I guess) done in the B&O factory in Ostrava, Czech Republic:

A lot of the components (most I would say) are made in Denmark - the boards are for the most part custom made for this speaker.

The assembly facilities of B&O are in Ostrava, since there are no such facilities in Struer anymore.

They probably could have put a 'Made in the EU' label on it - would that make the BL90'es better/worse?
