Hi beoworlders,
I bought a Beo4 remote (dtv model) second hand for my Playmaker. I bought it very cheap, because one LCD line is defective. Opened the beo4 yesterday and cleaned everything. Also the dirty rubber buttons, sides, aluminum frame, etc. I can recommend this. Only four screws and you can clean all dirt between the buttons completely, because you can remove the rubber completely and put in in some warm water with soap.
Looks like new and noticed that the LCD display is verrrrry easy to replace, so I want to buy a new one, to fix the not working line (it's only one line, so can see everything, but doesn't look nice).
Where can I buy this display the cheapest? Internet (if so, where)? Dealer? And what are the costs?
Is the aluminum faceplate also for sale? Because there is a small scratch above the bang & olufsen text. And if not to expensive, it would look good if I replace it.
I have used this one for screens: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Bang-Olufsen-Display-fur-FB-BEO-4-Neu-inklusive-Kontaktgummi-/222277139238?hash=item33c0bffb26:g:KAMAAOSwqu9VKQSs
But also here for both screens and other spares: http://www.avaservices.co.uk/
Of course total price is postage dependent.
Thanks Guy. 20 euro sounds like a good price. If the local B&O dealer is (much) more expensive, I will order this one.
The last time I bought one it was 14 euros at the local dealer. That was 5-6 years ago, though...
