Hi to All!
I ‘haven’t been active for some time because I had no issues with my Beo collection…until today : - ) While I was listening to cassette suddenly the playback stopped. Not much surprise to me as I noticed sound distortions due to slipping belt.
My question is – can you give me some guidance how to proceed with belt replacement? Is it difficult? I can’t find youtube guide regarding that particular issue. I’ve already had a chance to disassembly my Ouverture to replace light bulb. Do you have any manual? I’ve got experience with Beosound 9500 belt replacement – but that was easy task : - )
Thanks for your help in advance!
Max
Hi Max,
Here's how to replace the belt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnAD5PbyBGA which is not as easy as in 9500 I'm afraid and the most difficult part is to remove the complete tape assembly prior, which can be done only from the back of the device after removing the back and the pcb inside as well.
Here's how to remove the glasses as the usual first step: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19edoXXicsk :) and sometimes it's pretty difficult to divide the back from the front, so try to remove the 2 side plastic panels from the front first. and then split the back.
