Hi,
I've been browsing this excellent forum for a long time now and I found answers to most of my problems but I'm still having issues with my multiroom setup and I was wondering if any of the members here could help me with my B&O system, which I had since the MasterLink era and slowly bringing up to date.
My system is setup as follows:
The main problems I had are with powering up the BL3500 and after searching this forum I discovered I need a Power Box, which is now ordered. The second problem I have is with adding the BS3000 to the multiroom setup. Even though it is directly connected to the Gateway through the MasterLink socket it is not recognised at all. I'm not sure if I've connected it wrong, the firmware is not supported or it needs something else, like another power box. Also, the BS3000 is not showing up as a source in the BLC setup.
I hope it all makes sense! Any help is greatly appreciated.

A warm welcome to BeoWorld! It sounds like it's probably a matter of the firmware not being recent enough to support the gateway. If you go to www.beointegration.com, you can find resources for the MLGW (even though yours is BLGW) that will indicate which firmware is needed for particular devices to support the gateway. You could probably get the firmware updated by a technician.
if I'm reading it well, the BLGW is used as an hub to covert audio from ML to NL. This is not the function of the BLGW or did I miss something!
The audio setup in this case should be a ML subsystem and a NL subsystem; connected by the BL NL/ML converter.
Thank you! The BS3000 SW version on the sticker at the back is 3.0 but I have had it for so long I can't remember if it's ever been upgraded. I checked the document on www.beointegration.com and it states 3.1, so looks like something I need to have done. Is it possible to check the version on the unit, through a Beo4 command or similar?

I was under the impression that BLGW would recognise the unit (in this case the BS3000) connected directly to it via the MasterLink socket (or the BL socket) and present it to the MultiRoom setup. Are you saying that the BS3000 should be connected to a BLC for it to be presented to the MultiRoom setup, rather than the BLGW?
