I apologize for asking this question that has most likely been answered before,  but I cannot find answer.

I want to hook up a Velodyne ULD 18 powered sub to my system.  I have a set of Penta2's which work fine  but would like the added bass the sub can return.  The sub amp has in and out jacks from the amp.  Do I pull the jumper pins out of the panel and run RCA cables to and from the sub amp?  If I do this,  will the sub volume not be affected by the receiver volume?   What have others done to solve this problem?

Thanks so much for any replies!

Use the rca outputs on the BM5500.

Don't touch the jumper pins, those are for connecting an external EQ.

Thanks so much,  I will try that.  I'll let you know.  I have been a member here for about 15 years, but have been dormant for many years.  Just recently got excited again about B&O.  Own a 5000 system,  5500 , 6500, and a 9000.  I know that one would take care of the house,  but I've been a collector!  I appreciate the info.

I tried your advice,  AND,  it works perfectly!  Thanks so much.  Unfortunately,  over the years I seem to have forgotten much of what I used to know about B&o info..  Really appreciate your advice and this site!
