Hello everyone, I´ve finally started on the restoration of my Beosystem 4500. Cleanup, recap, solderchecking, etc. I´m now cleaning up the tapeparts of the beocord. It was 100% working with just a wining rewind, which I hope were the reels,as they were incredibly sticky!

I seem to have the metal bracket 1 large belt version. The belt looks fine if not very grippy. It measures 15,3 cm diameter and I can buy a 15,8 which may be a bit grippier and provide a longer life. 15,8cm still requires the need to pull the belt on to the last pulley. Does anyone know what the official diameter for this belt should be?

Many thanks, Bram van Esch.

Too heavy sideways pulls are what kills many motor bearings.
The "official" belt specs are never disclosed but no standard size belts will work particularly well.

I can supply correct belts.
