Are the H3s really that good anyway, even for £109? There's a reason products are discounted, whatever time of year it is. I wish I wasn't so sceptical but B&Os latest offerings are such a disappointment I have lost faith in the brand for innovation, quality and reliability. There was a time B&O was the leader of the pack but those days are well and truly gone. Simon.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
Good to know. Do you rate them as headphones compared to the competition?

Useful info, thanks. I might look into these again and do further tests as I am still in the market for some decent headphones having bought and returned the H5s. I would want to use them primarily for the gym also. Cheers, Simon.

Duels:One more thing. Selecting the correct size of rubber ear pieces l is essential to getting good sound and secure fit for gym use.
Thanks for all info. This is interesting and I am wondering if its worth trying the H5s again if they have been revised, as it were? Which one offers a better sound or are they much of a muchness? The fact the H5s are cable free (sort of) is obviously of interest. Are these headphones really any better than my supplied ear pods with the iPhone? What do members think? Thanks, Simon.

I really wish B&O would get this stuff right from the start, rather than releasing a slightly sub-standard product and then quietly updating it behind the scenes, without telling existing customers.

Agreed. What I just can't understand is how a company that achieved as much as B&O once did, for so many years, could allow itself to drop standards so much. If I owned my own company I would be so proud of it and want to cherish every part of it that I and my team had worked so very hard over a long period of time to build up. I just don't get it... at all. Svend Olufsen and Peter Bang would be utterly dismayed if they knew what there company now stood for. Their achievements represented the complete opposite at the outset; B&O was a trusted name in the world for innovation, quality and reliability. What a terrible shame, really. How does anyone let this happen? Where is the pride and respect from existing owners for what the founders started gone? Is this is a typical example of today's desire for greed? Is that all B&O is now? Tragic.
