BL 8000 midbass driver MK1

As you can see the difference is more than obvious
in all respects.
Thus, in the view as the sound.
Do not buy the first generation BL8000 MK1.
Bass sound is very very poor.
I know from experience.

Did you compare T/S parameters?

I did not
,my ears are sufficiently accurate tool for detecting differences of sound.

Not sure of your point.

Indeed the mk.i are from 1992 probably designed in 90 or 91 and mk.ii 8002 are from mid-2000s. Beyond drivers also the amplifiers are completely different.

Anyway the 8000s and newer 18s are a sort of compromise (balance?) design; between size, SPL and bass response. Pick two.
