Check if the motor is running when out of standby.
If it's running - replace belts and test the deck again.
If it's not running, check that it will rotate easily by hand.
Then check the voltage on the motor tabs. (apprx 13-14 V is to be expected).
Voltage fine and motor rotatable by hand - replace motor.
No voltage - repair power supply.

If the old belts messed up and locked the motor, the power supply will need
a small repair. Depending on the failure mode, the power supply will either not output any power at all or
output will be weak so the mechanics will feel sluggish and slow.

I can supply correct  new belts and idler wheel rubber parts.

While in there replace the two electrolytic capacitors (220uF) on the Dolby board. They are known to go bad.
I can supply those too and any parts needed for the power supply repair.

If you can measure 13-14 Volts across the motor and it's not running, then it's dead.
I can supply a new motor (original replacement part).
Email me.
