Dear Members and Enthousiasts,
Would it be a good idea to connect a Beoplay S8 subwoofer as an addition to my Beolab 1 speakers because I think they lack a bit of low end bass?
My setup is as follows: Beosound Ouverture, Beovision 7 32'' MK1, 2 Beolab 1 speakers, Bl 7-1 center. My plan is to connect the Beoplay S8 subwoofer to the powerlink sub output of the Beovision 7 with a Powerlink to RJ45 converter (the BL1's are also connected to the BV7 as fronts). Would this work and would you recommend this setup? As the Beolab 2 subwoofer is just a bit over my current budget.
Kind Regards and already thanks for any reply's!
Juraj
Hi Juraj,
You can easily add a Beoplay S8 subwoofer to your Beolab 1 speakers (with this cable: http://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/31-rj45-to-powerlink-compatible-all-in-one-cable-convert-new-2013-ethernet-powerlink-to-traditional-8-pin-din-powerlink.html ) but I don't think it will add much extra bass depth. Beolab 2 would be my personal choice to improve the bass with Beolab 1s, they are getting less expensive now on the pre-owned market.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.
