If you had the chance, which of the two would you buy? Which produce the better audio? Thank you for your opinion!

Sure - but what if your room is only 20m²....

....would you still put in the BL5’s?

Well the room has more than 100m^2. I have read many posts here that soundwise there is not much of a difference between them. However, I have also read that the Beolab 8000 MK1 and MK2 sound the same, and to my ears there is a massive difference!

Beolab 5, any size room is fine! calibrate them to the room and good to go!

I personally would still have them in a 20m2 room yes. They sound waaaay better and they look that much better too Stick out tongue

Who ever says they sound the same haven’t done any critical listening.

I like the tweeter more in the bl5, a little bit sweeter.

There is more punch in the high end of the mids

There is waay more punch in the low end of the mids

And then there is the bass, not much compares.

Lastly also the height of the bl5 is better if you have anything in your room like a chair and or a couch. The bl5 is more or less at ear height when you sit down which is ideal. With the bl20 you basically need to have a clear line of sight to get the best out of them, so imho much more limiting with what you can put in your room and not adversely affect the sound of your extremely nice speakers.

Just my 2 cents, so to me bl5’s hands down!Big Smile

I've got a pair of Beolab 5's, and I've heard a pair of Beolab 20's at a dealership and I can honestly say that the 5's are better by a mile. Hence the purchase of the 5's.

Now that prices are coming down to a reasonable level I decided to buy a pair, you will not be disappointed.

Having heard the 5s in a surround setup (both pairs front and back (bluray movie and bluray audio)) in a 30m^ room and the 20s (playing deezer (FLAC)) in a 70m^ room I can safely say that the 5s are the way to go.

I will agree that it is not fair to compare them head to head but if your dilemma is 5s or 20s go for the 5s.

Just make sure you have the proper gear to connect to them!

That's not true.

I have them from the beginning, and i must turn down the bass to -3

The bass roomcorrectie can't solve everything
