Hi,

I am virgin here so please be nice. I have recently purchased a Beosytem 7000 with Beolab 8000 speakers

I am getting a constant hum when I power up the system and an unable to get stereo sound - either one speaker works and then the other clicks off.

I have tried changing the left right and centre but this has no effect

The speakers just flick themselves on and off

Any hints tips etc will be most welcome

How are they connected ? If you are using a standard PowerLink cable, then each speaker should be set to L(eft) and R(light) on the switch where the connectors are.

If it is set to Line, then they switch on/off caused by static electricity around the phono input connector.
