Can I use a Beosound 9000 mk II or III as a simple CD 'player'?
I would like to use it as the CD source for my Beomaster 4000 - is this possible? If so, what would I need to do regarding connections and what would the problems/drawbacks be?
I currently use a Beogram CDX which works perfectly with the 4000 which in turn drives Kef Reference 104aB passive speakers but would like to replace the CDX with a Beosound 9000.
Any advice, even if it's "Don't even think about it!" would be much appreciated.
Yes, you can.
Just use a standard 5 pins DIN cable (provided by Steve) connected to the A.Aux socket.
You will need to use a dummyplug on the powerlink to enable a working ir-reception.
HI there,
Reference the above, do I need one or two dummy plugs?
Yesterday with the guy from a company specialising in B & O, I tried to get a Beosound 9000 MkIII to talk to my Beomaster 4000 with no joy.
We tried most of the options we could think of but nothing worked - the Beomaster just didn't recognise any signal from the Beosound.
I have just posted a 'HELP' message - any guidance you can give me would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks
